City of Livonia Michigan:
The city of Livonia is located in the Northwest part of
Wayne County. Livonia is considered to be in the Detroit Metropolitan
area, located about 22 miles northwest from downtown Detroit (approx 25 miles to Ann Arbor).
Livonia has a total area of about 36 square miles and many of the residents of
Livonia love their city. Don't let the size of Livonia fool you, many
residents enjoy a small community feel with loads of great city
conveniences. To some, Livonia schools are some of the most sought
after schools in the area, offering a wide variety of great educational
opportunities for their students. Livonia has great access to local
expressways, entertainment, nature parks/beaches, ski mountains,

Livonia Michigan Real Estate, Homes and Neighborhoods:
From the early days of Livonia to the active
neighborhoods of today, Livonia has maintained the feeling of a small
town. Livonia does not have a structured downtown area, but is loaded
with a great variety of stores--many residents love it. Livonia has a
wide variety of home styles to satisfy every person's taste, from unique
older homes (entrance to Old Rosedale Gardens seen on the left located at Plymouth and Merriman) from Livonia's past, to executive style homes in Livonia's
newly developed areas. Livonia is known for all it has to offer, such
as high quality city services, great shopping, excellent schools, great
location loaded with conveniences.
Breaking down the city's school districts can be a
challenging task, with everything seemingly changing all the time.
Many potential Livonia resident's have called us looking for a home
within a certain Livonia High School district. Feel free to use the
links provided below for more information, but here is a vague
generalization.
Livonia has three zip codes that we commonly use for home search
purposes, which are 48152, 48154, and 48150. Using this generalization,
much of the 48152 residents attend the Livonia Stevenson High School
District (of course, some may not). The borders for Stevenson are
generally North of 5 Mile up to 8 Mile & East of Haggerty up to
Inkster Rd. The Northeast portion of the City contains the
Clarenceville school district.
Then we go on to the 48154 area and most of that goes to Livonia
Churchill High School (there are portions which go outside of that).
This boundary is generally South of 5 Mile to Joy Rd
& Haggerty East to around Farmington Rd. There are also sections of
Westland Michigan that attend Livonia Churchill high school.
The 48150 area has a big portion that goes to Livonia
Franklin High School, which is located on the city's South East
side. Before you buy, remember to check with the Livonia school
district to see where your children will attend school. The boundaries
of Livonia Franklin are South of 5 Mile to around Warren Rd (includes
some of Westland) & Farmington Rd East to Inkster Rd. As a reminder

Livonia also offers a local college within it's borders, Schoolcraft College. Schoolcraft is located on Haggerty Road just south of 7 Mile Road on the very west side of the city.
Upon further review of going through Livonia Michigan Neighborhoods we found we had a lot more to go through. So here is the next group of subdivisions I went through. I personally visited these area's in showing potential home buyers homes and to grow and learn more about Livonia.
