Southeast Livonia is basically the boundaries of Farmington Rd -- Inkster Rd (west-east) and Joy Rd - 5 Mile (south-north). These boundaries of the city are not set in stone just really the opinion of many of the local residents and in particular the author of this web-page. Livonia is a large suburb of Detroit and has just under 100,000 residents. Livonia is conveniently located approx. 20 minutes from Detroit and 25 minutes from Ann Arbor with easy access to loads of local attractions.
Livonia Michigan has 3 high school districts within the Livonia Public Schools. There is also another public school in Livonia in the northeast section of the city called Clarenceville, Clarenceville is located within the city but not part of the Livonia Public School District. The southeast section of the city residents typically fall into the Livonia Franklin High School District. Livonia Franklin is Located on Joy Rd just east of Merriman Rd. Joy Rd is the border road between Livonia and the city of Westland, currently Westland residents residing in the area across the street from Livonia Franklin attend Livonia Schools. Depending on where you live you will fall in Grant (state streets, Old Rosedale Area) , Hayes (Westland) or Cleveland (about a mile east of Livonia Franklin) Elementary schools. Within the Livonia Public School district there is: k-4 schools, 5-6 grade schools (upper L's), middle schools and 3 public high schools. It is very common to hear a local resident say they want to live or currently live in a certain high school district. Overall Livonia schools are rated well and many residents live in the area due to the quality of the school district.
Livonia offers many great local attractions in the city and easy access to others nearby. If shopping is what you crave your in luck, Livonia has some great shopping very close by. Wonderland shopping plaza, I96 and Middlebelt shopping area, Laurel Park Place Mall and Twelve Oaks Mall are all very popular and close by. The shops and restaurants of neighboring Downtown Plymouth, Downtown Northville, Downtown Novi and Downtown Farmington are just a short drive away. From easy access to expressways, shopping, healthcare, schools and fantastic outdoor activities Livonia has something to offer for just about everyone.
